Whether you are trying to lose weight, run your first full marathon, or are just trying to improve your overall health in 2023, here are 10 little things you can do every single day to make a huge difference in your fitness journey by the end of the year.
- Sleep 7 to 9 hours
- Go to bed and wake up earlier
- Stretch for 5 minutes before you go to bed and as soon as you wake up
- Spend 10 to 15 minutes in the morning sunlight
- Drink water before anything else (coffee, tea)
- Do not check your phone for the first 30 minutes after waking up
- Walk at least 8,000 steps
- Stay active outside the gym
- Eat one fruit
- Take a few deep, controlled breaths every hour
- Walk around your home or office when attending work calls
- Cook your own meals as much as you can
- Add more greens to your diet
- Sit up straight and improve your posture
- Walk for 5 minutes at the end of every hour
- Take the stairs whenever possible
- Eat a little less than you think you need, don’t eat until you are full
- Take a 10-minute walk after all your meals
